Registration at the Dresden International School

The registration of Jacoba and Ruby in their new school took place today. The school is in the center of Dresden near PostPlatz, a major tram transfer station. In the back of the tram picture below you can see some of the old buildings from the city center of Dresden. The Dresden Opera Building is near here.
Jacoba and Ruby will probably take the tram to school. Depending on where we live, it will probably be a 10 -20 minute ride.

The school building is only a few years old and it is located next to a beautiful church.

The playground has alot of really fun looking playground equipment. Here are a few shots.

The gymnasium is very large and very nice. On top of the gym is the soccer field. It is surrounded by a fence so the soccer ball doesn't fall off. It was blocked off for repairs, or I would have taken a photo.

Also there is a fairly nice climbing wall. This might be a big hit with the Taylor Tots.

The playground area also has ping pong tables. I thought that was pretty neat. They can play ping pong at recess.

The next building contained many of the classrooms, the cafeteria, and the libraries.

It seems like a really nice school. With a school, the building doesn't determine much about what goes on inside, but from the documents they have sent detailing the curriculum it seems like it is going to be a good experience for all of us.
